The infant and toddler movement gym at BE Centers with climbing, swings, and soft play equipment

BE Centers

Infant to toddler gym

Movement is the foundation of learning. Long before a child sits still at a desk, their nervous system has to build the pathways that make focus, reading, coordination, and self-regulation possible — and it builds them through movement.

BE Centers Functional Development is an environment for toddlers and infants to progress through stages of neurological development combining play, movement, collaboration, and imagination.

Guided by trained specialists. Classes are designed by the owner — Montessori certified and trained from infants to age 9, certified in functional neurology, primitive reflex integration trained, and holding a degree in child development — so movement is never just play for play's sake, but purposeful, age-appropriate work on the sensory system, the nervous system, the vestibular system, and the motor system.

0–8 months

Sensory foundations

Focused on parent-infant interaction and bonding — guided songs, gentle movement, supported tummy time, and textured surfaces to reach and touch, all led hand-in-hand with a parent or caregiver to wake up the vestibular and tactile systems together.

9–16 months

Foundations in motion

Crawlers and new walkers. Open exploration paired with simple guided invitations — crawling over soft shapes, pulling to stand, low climbing steps, and push toys that build the strength and coordination behind first independent steps.

Motor development · Proprioception · Free play

16–30 months

Discovery & balance

A balance of free play and short guided sequences — climbing, low balance beams, pushing and pulling weighted carts, and swinging — designed around the toddler's growing need to test their body against gravity.

Balance · Motor development · Free & structured play

2.5–3.5 years

Proprioception & play

Child-directed stations set inside a structured environment — swinging, climbing walls, crawling tunnels, and resistance work — so each child can choose what their body needs while building body awareness and control.

Proprioception · Motor development · Structured choice

3.5–4.5 years

Structured movement & independence

Sequenced climbing, swinging, balance, and pushing/pulling stations that ask children to follow multi-step directions and build the self-regulation needed for a classroom setting.
